Experience Italian craftsmanship
In Italy, we have a very ancient goldsmithing tradition, from Etruscan jewels to the refined silverware art of Benvenuto Cellini and, later, Mario Buccellati. Today, the tools and techniques used are often the same as those used in antiquity.
Over the course of 4 hours, you will discover and take part in the wonderful secrets of the goldsmithing world, surrounded by the atmosphere of an authentic goldsmith's workshop, among rolling mills, burins, crucibles, files, and hammers.
I will guide you through the entire process of creating a ring in 925 silver, from the metal's fusion to cutting, filing, and finally polishing. You will also have the opportunity to custom your ring it with engravings, textures, and different finishes.
We'll start with a good coffee from our Moka pot. In the meantime, you'll be given information on the journey we will embark on during the experience, along with some curious anecdotes about the goldsmithing world. After that, it's time to get our hands dirty!
You will actively participate in the artisanal creation of your jewel and at the end of this day, you will take home a ring of unique value.
You might get your clothes dirty, so we ask you to wear comfortable and suitable work clothes. Avoid shirts with wide sleeves that could prevent you from performing this experience safely and wear closed-toe shoes. If you have long hair, bring something to tie it up.
