ABOUT

“When I was little I didn’t want to be a ballerina…I wanted to be an archaeologist”

Debora Giugno is a young goldsmith with Sicilian origins, who grew up between Sardinia and Piedmont, and who arrived in Lombardy years ago to study Fashion Design at the Polytechnic University of Milan.

“My collection was born from the lava stones of Etna”
So a passion and family memories are best expressed in the transposition of the evolution of stones and materials into exclusive jewels, entirely hand-made, unique pieces that require commitment, study and time.
Precisely the measure of the latter gave birth to Un Giorno Di Giugno (A Day Of June), because the value of these jewels is not only intrinsic, but it is “like taking home a piece of my life”.

COLLECTION

Debora’s works can be defined as genderless as they are not specifically designed for men or women. Jewels with a strong naturalistic imprint that recall the transformation of elements in a modern key.
Growing up as a person and as an artisan, she has learned to better understand what is naturally imperfect in the stones and materials she uses, their passport, their history are their true wealth.
It is precisely those small inclusions, in fact, that tell us how and where the precious stones were formed under the earth's crust, hundreds of thousands of years ago.
"Knowing how to enhance what for many at first glance may appear to be just an imperfection, is one of the most fascinating aspects of this work"
Debora has chosen to use bronze as her first material, enchanted by the fact that time tends to highlight the signs that characterize it, making it even more unique.
Each creation is handmade in Milan, since all are unique pieces they can be entirely customized and also made in gold.
